Sporting Update

It’s been a busy start to November for the sports department at St Davids, with the following fixtures:

U11 Football – commiserations to the team who lost 6-1 to St James the Great School in the Croydon Cup League. We look forward to their next league match.

U9 Football – although this friendly match against Collingwood resulted in a 10-1 loss, it was a fun event and St David’s restored some pride at the end by winning the penalty shootout! All the players enjoyed themselves and it was a great experience for the many players who were new to the game.

Forms 1 & 2 Cross Country – there were some brilliant performances at a very muddy Lloyd Park and everyone ran their hearts out. Particular congratulations go to Kelechi and Alicia, who came 1st and 3rd respectively, in the Year 2 girls race and to Isaac who came 3rd in the Year 1 boys race – brilliant running!

Forms 3 & 4 Cross Country – well done also to our Forms 3 and 4 runners who gave it their all at Lloyd Park. Congratulations to James, who finished 7th in the Year 3 boys race, and well done to everyone who did not give up, despite the grim conditions!
