We’re delighted that you’re exploring St David’s, and we hope our website has given you an insight to the warm, welcoming community that makes our school so special. To fully discover what makes St David’s so special, we would love to welcome you for a personal tour at a time that suits you. These visits are a wonderful opportunity to explore our school with your son or daughter, meet our Head Teacher, and chat informally with our dedicated staff and enthusiastic pupils.
Please be aware that a number of our classes from Nursery to Form 6 currently have limited places available. If you are considering St David’s for your child—or would like to register a sibling of a pupil already with us—we encourage you to get in touch as soon as possible.
Most children join our Nursery in the September before their fourth birthday, where we offer up to 22 places. They continue into Reception the following Autumn, ahead of their fifth birthday, when additional places may become available.
Children may also join Nursery in the term of their third birthday; however, they will remain with their age-appropriate cohort and move into Reception in the September before turning five.
There are no formal Entrance Tests for our Early Years classes. Families wishing to apply simply need to complete a School Registration Form and return it with the non‑refundable Registration Fee (£150 for Nursery, £180 for Reception). Once received, we will send a letter confirming your child’s registration.
For entry into Forms 1 to 6, pupils are considered following an age‑appropriate assessment and at the discretion of the Head Teacher. Each child is invited to spend a taster day with the relevant class, giving them the chance to experience life at St David’s while our teachers get to know them. To support this process, we ask for a copy of your child’s latest school report.
After the visit, our class teachers will provide the Head Teacher with a brief overview of your child’s general progress, their learning strengths, and how comfortably they interacted with their peers.
Before arranging any class visits, we require the School Registration Form and the non‑refundable £180 Registration Fee.
Once your child has been registered, we will send a formal offer letter. To accept the place, we kindly ask that you complete the School Acceptance Form and return it along with the £1000 acceptance deposit. This deposit is fully refundable when your child leaves St David’s (please see our Terms and Conditions).
