Sport

At St David’s we offer a wide variety of sporting opportunities for all of our children in KS1 & KS2. These opportunities are done through specific sports clubs either before school, during lunchtimes or after school.

Sports clubs at St David’s change termly. This allows for different sports to be accessed by more children throughout the year. Currently, we have the following clubs running on a weekly basis. During summer term, cricket, rounders and athletics clubs will all be introduced.

Morning sports clubs

  • Forms 1 – 6 Fencing club (run by an external organisation)
  • Forms 3 & 4 Dance club
  • Forms 5 & 6 Table Tennis club

Lunchtime sports clubs

  • Forms 5 & 6 Hockey club

  • Forms 3 & 4 Basketball club

  • Forms 1 & 2 Mini Games club

  • Forms 1 & 2 Archery club

  • Forms 5 & 6 Korfball club

After school sports clubs

  • U11 Football club

  • U9 Netball club

  • U11 Netball club

  • U9 Multi-sports club

  • Reception Football club (run by an external organisation)

  • Forms 1 & 2 Football club (run by an external organisation)

Our aim with these clubs is to get as many children involved in sport as possible and to let them enjoy taking part. It also provides an opportunity for teams to practice together in preparation for fixtures, particularly with football & netball.
