St David’s Preparatory School, Purley joins the Royal Russell Family of Schools

The Governing Bodies of St David’s Preparatory School and Royal Russell School have agreed to form a partnership between St David’s School and Royal Russell School within the Russell School Trust with immediate effect. 

St David’s has always prided itself on not only its outstanding academic results, but also in its ability to produce well rounded, confident and aspirational children who are well prepared for the next stage of their school journey.  Both schools share an educational vision and ethos and, whilst St David’s is successful and financially sound, it will benefit in the long term from the Russell School Trust’s strength in terms of resources, in-house specialists and opportunities to share expertise across both schools.  St David’s has existed since 1912 and it will hugely benefit and continue to flourish by being part of the Royal Russell family.   

St David’s will continue to run in its current form, with Miss Mardell as the Head Teacher and the same Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff.  The school will remain on its current site with the same uniform which local families know and love.  No job roles are at risk as part of this exciting partnership.
