It’s been a busy half-term for many of our St David’s sports teams:
U11 Boys Football: Our boys football team have had five fixtures and displayed some excellent skills so far. Results are 2-0 win vs Coulsdon (which puts the team through to the Small Schools Cup Semi- Final!), 1-0 win vs Kenley, 3-2 loss vs Beaumont, 2-1 loss vs Oakwood and a 3-0 loss vs The Hayes.
U11 Girls Football: The girls had a rematch against Kenley. Although the result didn’t go our way, there was a big improvement from the previous game and the girls succeeded in scoring their first goal of the
season – well done girls!
U11 Netball: Our netballers won their two games against Old Palace. Although they lost their games against Forestdale, the matches were incredibly close and competitive. The team also had a great experience at a High-5 netbal tournament at Shirley High School.
U9 Netball: Our younger netballers took part in a friendly fixture against Royal Russell. This was a great opportunity for the team to improve their skills and understanding of netball.
U11 Hockey: Some children attended a hockey competition at Croydon High School. They played really well as a team and fought hard. They didn’t quite progress to the Semi-Finals but certainly did themselves proud.
