Christmas Unwrapped

The children in Form 2 thoroughly enjoyed visiting Jude Barber at Christchurch on Wednesday 30th November, where they took part in an interactive presentation called ’Christmas Unwrapped’. They had to find and unpack presents hidden around the church containing clues to the Christmas story which they were then told. As a class they produced a book of the story which they were able to bring back to school with them. In addition to this, they each made mangers for jelly-baby Jesus’s, designed patterns on angels, made glow-in-the-dark star decorations and treasure chests containing chocolate coins and the fragrance of frankincense and myrrh. Form 2 said ‘it was wonderful and very fun’ – a great way to start the season of Advent!
